Taking care of my skin had taken the back seat most of my life. Other than washing my face twice a day (with any facial wash or soap that is available), I don’t follow any skin regimen. I used to take my skin’s health for granted. It was just recently when I started using lotion and moisturizer. I started having a not-so-regular facial treatment when I was already 25! I hated having facial treatment because it was soooo painful! I used to have it every two months… until it became every six months… until it became once a year! hahahaha!
Last February, I had my gastritis, laryngitis, and sinusitis attack (3-in-1 talaga! Nagsabay-sabay sila). My doctors gave me a larger dosage of medication. After two weeks, I thought my health was back to normal but I noticed that I started having breakouts. I thought that it was just one of those few occasions when a zit or two visited my face. Hence, I didn’t look at it as a big deal. Knowing that I am not prone to acne, I reminded myself to keep calm because this is just one of the rare occasions of a pimple visiting my face.
However, the pimple did not cooperate with my “pep-talk”. Instead of leaving my face, it invited its fellow pimples to camp on my face!!! (Pimple party time!!!) One zit became two, then three, then four, until I lost count! My acne worsen when I came back to my swimming training. It seemed like my sunburn served as a fertilizer for my acne to flourish! Haaaay… 🙁
My “not big deal” mantra for my acne infested face became “BIG DEAL” actually. I realized that it was not normal anymore. Since it was becoming worse, I decided to consult a specialist who could help me with my problem.
That was when Dr. Kaycee came into my life. I went to her clinic at Luminisce for a consultation. The first time I saw Dr. Kaycee, I noticed how supple and healthy her skin is! Dr. Kaycee made me feel comfortable right away. During consultation, she put into plain words the intricacy of medical technicalities for me to better understand my skin. It seems like we had a crash course on the anatomy and physiology of acne! 🙂 That gave me an impression that she is not just a doctor. She is also an educator to her patients.
Dr. Kaycee completed her Diploma in Dermatology and Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology in London. Aside from her top caliber credentials, she continues to attend international conferences to further widen her outlook towards treating diversified skin cases.
Dr. Kaycee gives a tailor-fit and individualized approach to each of her patients. My skin improved a lot since she started taking care of it! She promotes health and wellness and I learned how to take better care of my skin.
I used to dread having facial treatments. But now, visiting Luminisce is something that I look forward to! It is such a delightful treat of relaxation!
The clinic itself is cozy and conducive for relaxation. I definitely enjoy (not endure) the facial treatment here! They have this machine that uses sonar to remove your blackheads – no pain at all! It feels like having a nice facial massage! I can even go to a meeting right after a facial treatment without worrying of having a swollen face.
The staff in this clinic are friendly and well-trained! I usually talk to them during my treatment. I casually asked one of the staff about her training. She answered me, “Dr. Kaycee sent me to Thailand for my training”. WOW!!! Another staff informed me that she is a registered nurse and she worked in the hospital before she was employed in Luminisce. Dr. Kaycee’s staff utters nothing but praises to her. According to them, Dr. Kaycee treats them as family that is why they always want to do their best at work. WOW! That says something a lot about my beloved Dermatologist! She is truly beautiful inside and out! That’s why her clinic emanates positive vibes!
