Whenever I’d browse through instagram, I would always find myself admiring Jelito De Leon’s IG account. His pictures are superb and inspiring. He could easily turn simple things such as table, chairs, coins, coffee mug, etc. into something instagrammable and pinteresty (Oh, I just invented those words!)
So when the beautiful Cat Juan-Ledesma announced a workshop with Jelito, I decided to clear my weekend schedule and attend the workshop.
The workshop was held at Bungalow 300 in Alabang. It is a beautiful concept store specializing in vintage modern furniture and objects.
Cat was already near the front desk when we entered Bungalow 300. She made us feel welcomed with her warm smile and accommodating demeanor!
Participants range from store owners, brand partners, to directors, bloggers, photographers, and normal people like me! That made me realize that Jelito is well-respected by a lot of people from different fields.
Jelito reminded me of Charles Bukowski’s saying, “an artist says a hard thing in a simple way”. He walked us through the amazing world of mobile photography without intimidating us – specially the non-photographers like me. He used layman’s term as he shared practical tips and tricks. I am amaze how unselfishly he divulges his photography secrets to the group! He also patiently answered each of our questions. WOW! A person who has an amazing skill with such an amazing character!
After the interactive discussion, Cat surprised us with a lot of goodies from sponsors! I’ll let you take a peek into my loot:

Cat surprised us more when she announced that we have a merienda cena! Hurray! What I thought as a simple merienda turned out to be a special treat!
After eating (and chatting) we to put to practice that tips and tricks that we learned from Jelito.
It was such a fun-filled event! Thank you Cat, Jelito and Bungalow 300 for coming up with this workshop! More workshops please…
